Objectives

    The project aims to provide supplementary materials for starting readers and as an inter-vention project for non-readers/struggling readers from Grades 1-6.

Description 

Project LISTEN is a reading intervention project under Bawat Bata Bumabasa that primarily uses audio-based lessons and printed reading materials to guide the beginning readers in their daily reading lessons and to serve as reading intervention to non-readers from grades 1 to 6. The soft copy of Halina’t Magbasa 1 will be uploaded in the USB OTG of the learner and will be inserted in the Bluetooth speaker .While listening to the teacher’s voice using the gadget, the learner can read the hard copy of the material. The materials will be printed also. This project will ensure that every learner is given appropriate reading inter-vention while learning at home.

• Orientation of School Heads and reading coordinators on the project 

• Reproduction of the instructional materials by schools 

• Retrieval of USBs (Grade 1) 

• Uploading of soft copy in the USBs 

• Orientation of students concerned

• Actual Implementation of the innovation in teaching beginning reading Non-readers from Grades 2-6 Grade 1 Learners (Halinat’t Magbasa 1 for Filipino) Grade 1 Learners ( KOTOBEE English e-book) 

• Conduct of Reading Assessment for identified non-readers from Grades 2-6 

• Conduct of Reading Assessment for all Grade 1 Learners in Filipino (Halina’t Magbasa 1) 

• Conduct of Reading Assessment for all Grade 1 Learners using KOTOBEE English e-book 

• Evaluation of the project
